Human design

Part of my healing journey, and of finding my way back to myself, was discovering Human Design.

By exploring my own energy chart, I realised that much of what I had struggled throughout my life to change and hold back was actually my strengths.

There was nothing wrong with me. I had simply been trying to live by rules that didn’t suit me.

What joy I felt when I began to understand and get to know my own mechanics instead of copying someone else’s. To clear away everything others had placed on me and see, deep down, who I really am.

What is Human Design?

Human Design was created by Ra Uru Hu in the late 1980s and combines several older traditions: astrology, the I Ching, Kabbalah, the Hindu chakra system and quantum physics. Based on your exact date, time and place of birth, a unique graphic chart is calculated that maps your energy, your driving forces and how you are designed to make decisions.

The five energy types

At the core of the system, people are divided into five types:

• Manifestors are initiators, designed to start things and act independently.

• Generators have a sustainable life force and thrive by responding to what life offers them. Most people belong to this group.

• Manifesting Generators are a faster version of the Generator, someone who jumps between tasks.

• Projectors are guides and advisors who see others clearly but need to be invited in order to be heard.

• Reflectors are rare, sensitive to their surroundings, and mirror the health of their environment.

Each type has its own “strategy”, a way of navigating life that, according to the system, reduces resistance and frustration.

Authority – your inner compass

In addition to your type, the chart shows your authority, which is the way you are designed to make decisions. It may be through your emotions (which need time to settle), your body’s sensations, your intuition or something else. The idea is that decisions made in line with your authority feel more sustainable than those made with your head.

Centres, channels and gates

The chart consists of nine centres (linked to the chakra system), which are either defined (coloured, consistent energies) or undefined (open and receptive to the energy around you). The channels and gates between the centres describe more specific themes in your personality – everything from your communication style to how you handle stress.

What is it used for?

Many people use Human Design for self-knowledge: to understand why they react the way they do, why some environments drain their energy while others give them strength, or why some decisions only feel right after sleeping on them. It is a tool for reflection and a way to put words to patterns you may already have sensed.

A journey

Just like tarot, Human Design is less about predicting the future and more about opening up to new perspectives on yourself. Many people find that the chart gives them a language for things they have felt intuitively but never been able to express and that it becomes a reminder that there is no single right way to live, only your own.

It’s easy to go through life on autopilot, and instead of pausing to understand why some things feel harder than others, we simply push our way through.

With my Human Design reading, you get the chance to pause and reflect on what you actually need to feel your very best. What makes you unique and what makes you thrive.

Imagine feeling the joy of truly understanding yourself!
