Tarot cards have fascinated people for centuries. For some, they are a tool for self reflection; for others, a path to clarity when facing difficult decisions. Whichever way you choose to see them, tarot offers a way to pause, ask yourself questions and listen to the answers that already exist within you.
The origins of tarot
Tarot cards first appeared in northern Italy in the 15th century, originally as a deck used for card games among the aristocracy. It wasn’t until the 18th and 19th centuries that the cards began to be used for divination and spiritual exploration, mainly within occult movements in France and England. Since then, tarot has grown into a versatile tool for introspection, creativity and personal growth.
How a tarot deck is structured
A classic tarot deck consists of 78 cards, divided into two groups:
• The Major Arcana consists of 22 cards representing life’s great themes and archetypes: The Fool, The Magician, Death, The Star and so on. These cards often reflect important turning points or spiritual lessons.
• The Minor Arcana consists of 56 cards divided into four suits (Cups, Swords, Wands and Pentacles), reflecting the emotions, thoughts, actions and material matters of everyday life.
Together, the cards tell a story about where you are in life and what may be on its way.

How do you read tarot?
There is no single “right” method. Some people draw one card a day as a reminder or a theme to carry with them. Others use larger spreads to explore a specific question from several angles: the present, obstacles, the background, the future and the outcome.
What matters is not that the cards predict an exact future, but that they act as a mirror. The images and symbols awaken associations and feelings that already exist within you. Tarot helps you put into words what you may already have sensed but haven’t quite been able to express.
Intuition, not rules
Many beginners believe that tarot requires memorising 78 fixed meanings. In practice, it is just as much about intuition: what feeling does the image evoke in you right now, in this particular question? The more you practise, the more you trust your own interpretation – and that is where the true power of tarot lies, in the way it trains your ability to listen inward.
Tarot as an everyday tool
You don’t need to be spiritual or believe in fortune-telling to benefit from tarot. Many people use the cards as a way to:
• Reflect on a situation from new perspectives
• Break negative thought spirals and connect with their gut feeling
• Create space for reflection in a stressful everyday life
• Spark creativity and new ideas
A journey inward
Just like Human Design, tarot is less about getting ready-made answers and more about opening doors to new ways of seeing yourself and your life. Every card is an invitation to pause and ask: what is this telling me right now?
Inspired by nature
For me, nature is the greatest source of wisdom and guidance. I have always felt most at home outdoors , among my sheep, in the stillness of the farm, in the way everything out there follows its own rhythm without hurrying.
Nothing in nature is forced before its time; everything is allowed to ripen, reveal itself and fall away when it is ready. That is the feeling I bring with me into my work with tarot.
For me, the cards become a way of listening inward, in the same way I listen to the wind or the changing of the seasons. With curiosity, patience and trust that the answers will come when the time is right.
My intuition and nature go hand in hand in everything I do, and it is this combination I want to share with you through my readings.

How I use tarot in my life
I started using the cards as part of my own healing and personal development, and today I sometimes also use them in my healing work.
Among other things, the cards helped me understand what I needed to work through and let go of, what my energy was like at a specific moment, and what was about to unfold.
With the help of the cards, I could also see how my energy shifted the more I healed and the more I worked through. It went from dark and turbulent to lighter and lighter, until I had come all the way through.
Together with Human Design, the tarot cards gave me several pieces of the puzzle that helped me heal from, among other things, burnout and mental fatigue, and raise my awareness. In doing so, begin living from a place of being rather than performing.
